Activities and the surroundings

Things to do and see

Bodyboarding, surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing are the most popular water sports on the beach. Cascais offers high waves for surfers in July and August. Children will love the Oceanario de Lisbon aquarium and Lisbon Zoo. From the Belem Tower to the futuristic Parque das Nacoes, Lisbon combines the old and the new to striking effect. Berardo Museum is one of the best modern museums in Europe, and it's free.

The dramatic landscape of Cabo de Roca cliff, Europe’s westernmost point overlooking the Atlantic, should not be missed. Guincho Campsite is located in the Sintra Cascais Natural Park, so be sure to take to the countryside on foot or mountain bike.

Restaurant, bar and shopping

The excellent restaurant has a terrace for romantic evening meals. There is a takeaway and bar, too, and the grocery caters to all your luxury camping necessities.
