Lots to do and see

Maintain your fitness or get in shape in the multi-sport area and gym. Kids will love the play areas and can take fun rides on the miniature train. Test your marksmanship on the archery range or hire bicycles and explore the beautiful countryside. In high season, extensive animation programmes for all ages ramp up the action. The coast is also famous for surfing, sailing and fishing; trips and courses are available nearby. With their colourful huts and decorated walls, the oyster villages between Claouey and Cap Ferret are a must. To work up an appetite, climb to the top of the Cap-Ferret Lighthouse for a spectacular view of the bay. Your reward? A plate of oysters and a chilled bottle of white wine at one of the many beachside restaurants!

A day trip to Bordeaux

Since becoming a World Heritage Site, this elegant historical city has shed its stuffy image to become one of the hottest city destinations in Europe. For culture there are numerous museums and architectural treasures to visit. Bordeaux’s gastronomy and nightlife scene is booming, and as the headquarters of the most famous wine region in the world, it would be a pity not to leave without a bottle or two!

For al fresco dining, the restaurant’s terrace is directly on the waterfront and for drinks and snacks there is a bar.

The supermarket stocks fresh produce and carries all essential products. There is a night market twice a week and a hairdresser on-site.

The aquatic complex and lake

The enormous water complex includes a heated indoor pool with hydro-massage that is ideal to relax in whilst the kids go wild in the outdoor pools, one of which has a toboggan. The spacious terraces are perfect for lounging in the sun and for toddlers there are shallow splash pools with fun animal sculptures. On the inland lake with its private beach, there are huge inflatables for kids to play on, plus kayaking for added adventure.
