Campsites on the Belgian Coast

Why choose a camping holiday at the Belgian coast?

There are various reasons for choosing a fantastic camping holiday at the Belgian coast.

Highlights of the Belgian coast:

  • The ultimate holiday feeling close to home
  • The campsites are close to the beach
  • Bustling seaside resorts such as Knokke, Blankenberge and Ostend

The beaches of the Belgian coast

The Flemish coast has 13 bathing resorts in 10 coastal towns. So there is always a beautiful beach to find which suits your family. With the coastal tram, you can travel along the entire coast. If you are looking for a popular beach, Knokke is a must. Knokke is situated next to the Zwin. This is a beautiful nature reserve that also borders the Netherlands. In this seaside resort, you will find a fine centre with boutiques, bistros and galleries. It is therefore also called "Petit Paris".

A little further south is Westende. This seaside resort was destroyed in the First World War, but completely rebuilt in the 20s and 30s. The beach is nine kilometres long and 500 metres wide. Many tourists come to Westende every year for its nature, gastronomy and architecture. For urban cosiness, Ostend is highly recommended. Here, you will find cosy shops, delicious restaurants and fine terraces.
